These were distinct purchases separated by about 18 months. Both were what I consider major purchases and therefore generally avoided the Internet for; however, the availability and cost savings led me to finally give it a try and I'm very glad I did. Both transactions went very smoothly with faster than promised delivery.
The delivery service Visual Apex used for the Plasma TV was more than willing to allow an open box inspection prior to acceptance which really helped alleviate concerns of ending up with a damaged item.
I highly recommend Visual Apex.

VA is a great store.
On December 18th I ordered an Optoma H31 projector and a 92" GrayWolf II screen from Visual Apex. I expected I would have to wait a couple of weeks for delivery (especially around Christmas). I was very surprised when both items arrived only three days later, on December 21st. Everything was in fine shape. I installed it without a hitch and now I'm enjoying my projection TV.
I was a little worried about the screen getting damaged in shipment. The package is an odd shape: about 4 inches square by 8 feet long. I was impressed to see the edge reinforcements that protected the package. There was no damage to the screen.
Visual Apex shipped extremely fast, I got exactly what I wanted, and the stuff arrived in perfect shape. Plus the prices were good. Great store.

Highly recommend.
I researched dozens of sellers before choosing Visual Apex. Service, reliability and price were the deciding factors. I especially like the project calculator utility as it allowed me to get a great result on my projector installation. These guys did everything they said they would do. They even called to check that the order arrived as promised and that I was happy. Now that’s service and it was the 2nd lowest price I found on the item I wanted, a Optima H31 I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.

VA is the place to go.
I bought an Optoma H31 from Visual Apex and the service was great. I was able to pay through Paypal, which I really liked. In exactly a week, the projector was at my door. I didn't pay tax or shipping; it was great. They followed up my purchase with an email to see if everything was alright and they answered any questions I had for them. Overall, the transaction couldn't have gone any better. If you are going to buy a projector or any projector equipment, Visual Apex is the place to purchase it from.

Customer service was fantastic.
After shopping online for a bit for just the right projector, screen and of course, price, we decided to go with Visual Apex and the Optoma H31 projector and Elite R106H (106") fixed mount screen.
The price was right (right in line, if not better than anyone else) and the customer service was fantastic. Shipping was fast and accurate and the quality of the merchandise was exactly what we expected.
So far we LOVE the projector, so for those who are debating on a dealer and/or projector, we can highly recommend both.

My experience with VA was extremely rewarding.
My experience with Visual Apex was extremely rewarding. I was amazed at how quickly the projector arrived after I ordered. The Optoma H31 is a great projector to base a home theatre around. The set up was easy and I was enjoying it within one week of ordering it. I would recommend Visual Apex to others. They offer low prices on great merchandise and follow up with great customer service. My only regret is that I did not order the bulb replacement insurance. After talking to others this is a great deal for the money.

I've just purchased an Optoma H31 HD Projector from Visual Apex, and must say that the customer service was nothing less than perfect.
Not only was the price the lowest I could find, but their response to the order was fast and professional. They don't just take your money and run, they actually follow up and make sure your buying experience was a pleasent one.
Nothing but kudos for this company, it's the first place I'll go next time I look for video equipment.

Fantastic company to do business with!
What a fantastic company to do business with!!! Their speed in processing and turn around was outstanding. From order to delivery (Washington to New York) was 4 ½ business days! (regular ground rate)
After much product research and comparison shopping of vendors for quality of service and price, I decided to purchase my Optoma H31 HDTV Projector and Optoma Gray Wolf II 92” screen from Visual Apex. (visualapex.com)
A minor problem with my bank and credit card should have caused a 2-3 day delay, but thanks to a personal call and assistance from a very caring and pleasant Visual Apex Customer Service Representative, my order was not only shipped the same day, but personally processed by the Customer Service Rep. while I straightened things out with my bank so that I could make the shipping deadline for the day!
Quality customer service CAN still be found, and it is ONLINE at Visual Apex. Visual Apex offers very competitive prices and outstanding customer service.
I recommend Visual Apex to everyone I speak to who is interested in home theatre. It was a very pleasurable experience from a high class company.

Won't buy home theater equip. anywhere else.
Purchased: Optoma H31 Projector; Da-lite 92" 16:9 high-contrast matte white screen.
In this day and age, especially with much shopping being done online, it is increasingly rare to encounter a company that provides exemplary customer service. Visual Apex is a gem in this regard. When I first called them with questions about the products that I was interested in I spoke with a woman who was not only patient and friendly, but also very knowledgeable. After we had talked for a little while she gave me her direct phone extension in case I had follow up questions. I called her at least two more times in the succeeding days, and each time she was always a real pleasure to talk with and incredibly helpful. She even kept tabs on my order and made sure I was up-to-date on when things had shipped and the like.
As if this level of customer service wasn’t already exceptional, a few weeks after my new projector and screen arrived I received an email from Visual Apex’s Program Manager just checking in to see if I was completely satisfied with my products and Visual Apex’s service, and to see if I had any questions about my new equipment. I consider that going above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to taking care of one’s customers — they didn’t just sell me something and then abandon me to my own devices; I wasn’t just a past customer, I was a current customer still. You won’t get that kind of service at any mass market retailer, online or otherwise.
If you combine the outstanding service provided by the Visual Apex staff with their great products, prices, and the ease of use of their website, you have a purchasing experience that exceeds any experience at a brick-and-mortar shop. I did a lot of research into both products and sellers when looking for my first cinema projector, and after my experience with Visual Apex I simply won’t buy home theater equipment anywhere else. If you’re looking to buy from people who know what they’re doing and care about their customers, I recommend without hesitation that you work with the great people at Visual Apex.

All Around Great Experience
I purchased an Optoma H31 on special from Visual Apex. $899 after the manufacturer's rebate, with a 3 year warranty, free shipping and no sales tax. It was shipped quickly, and works great. A great deal all around. Optoma (the manufacturer) was dragging its feet (for weeks) on getting the rebate mailed out to me, but when I mentioned this to Visual Apex, they called Optoma, and I had the $100 rebate check within 4 days. All around a great experience, despite a price that seemed too good to be true.

Recently purchased an Optima H31 projector along with ceiling mount, screen. Recommend VA to friends.
I am very pleased with the Optoma H31 I purchased through Visual Apex. I was initially suprised at the throw angle, and that the projector mounted at center-screen level has to be tilted down 20 degrees or so to center the image. In order to use a shelf to mount the projector, I found an adjustable incline stand made to use with laptop computers that works perfectly as a solution to this problem. I understand other Optoma projectors have this same issue, and I imagine this problem is encountered fairly often. The notebook stand is made by Fellowes, I bought mine at Office Depot for ~$30, and it is great solution, much more presentable than the cut-up cardboard box I rigged up to try it out! :)
I was very pleased at the service, price, & delivery from Visual Apex and have already suggested them as a source to my friends.

Best Online Retailer
I purchased an Optoma H31 from VisualApex, which I am very happy with. They were easily the best online retailer I have dealt with in the last 5 years. Product was priced agressively and there was actual people available to answer my questions when I called. Yes, I did call BEFORE I purchased the projector (I had to make sure this wasn't one of those ripoff merchants in Brooklyn). You don't have to sacrifice service to get a good deal. After doing my research for a good lower-priced DLP projector, I had settled on the Optoma H31. I checked my local electronics stores and nobody carried it. Overall stellar experience.
I was in the market for a big screen TV last November. I did tons of research and it was not easy I might add, with all the choices available. After much poking around, I found out about front projectors and needless to say I was hooked. I read lots of actual user reviews and expert reviews on the entry-level projectors. I decided to go with the Optoma H31.
The hard part was to find a good deal online. The best price I found was at Visual apex. Not only was the price good the service was excellent. Very knowledgeable sales counselor! I had a minor issue on my part and it was corrected before I could blink. Another thing that made me go with VA is because they are authorized dealers for Optoma. They even contacted me after the purchased to find out if everything was OK. That made me feels really good. That’s what you call good ole customer service. My overall experience with VA has been stellar A+
When it comes time for my next upgrade you know where my dollar is going.

I purchased the Optoma H31 from Visual Apex and I could not be more pleased with my purchase. The site was very easy to navigate and I was able to make my purchase quickly. I like the fact that you could use Paypal to pay for the purchase. I live on the other side of the country and yet I received the projector in exactly one week. Professional.
All went well, found out your warehouse was in Kent and on the way home from my work, so I had the projector three hours after I placed the order, was that cool or what!. The phone operator was very professional and nice and helpful with my questions, the warehouse people were great too.
