- New Red-Rich lamp: The incorporation of the new Red-Rich Lamp increases the luminance efficiency of the projector, to achieve 150% brighter Cinema Picture modes compared to its predecessor, the PT-AE3000.
Prior to the development of the Red-Rich Lamp, much brightness was lost to attain the desired color purity/balance for the rich color reproduction of Cinema Picture modes due to the lack of red luminance. The newly engineered lamp successfully adds red luminance, and enables the projector to produce brighter images with excellent colors. With
the ability to produce a stunning brightness of 1,600 lumens, the PT-AE4000 unleashes the beauty of full-HD expression for viewing on various screen sizes.
- Full HD Optimized Optical System: To assure maximum clarity and sharpness in full-HD images, this advanced optical system employs a full-HD-optimized lens unit comprising of 16 lens elements in 12 groups, including two large-diameter aspherical lenses and two high-performance ED (extralow dispersion) lenses. - New Pure Contrast Plate Delivers High 100,000: Contrast Ratio:The Pure Contrast Plate in the PT-AE4000 uses a newly engineered crystalline material that is carefully matched to the characteristics of the LCD panels to effectively correct the passage of light exiting the panels. This enables the projector to block unwanted light leakage and successfully increases the dynamic range. It works together with the dynamic iris to achieve an astounding contrast ratio of 100,000:1.
- Pure Color Filter Pro for Rich, Vibrant Colors: The optical filter optimizes the light spectrum from the UHM projector lamp, helping to produce deeper blacks while improving purity levels in the three primary colors (red, green and blue). Today Panasonic has ended months of speculation by formally announcing its plan to bring the PT-AE4000U to the US market. The news that is even more buzz-worthy is that it will be offered at an official street price of just $1,999.
The AE4000 announcement is dramatic. Though its spec sheet does not look revolutionary compared to last year's AE3000, the AE4000 is in fact a superior projector in almost every way. Certainly it surpasses the AE3000 in image quality. And it is even more fully-featured than its predecessor. But what is most stunning is the price. Last October, a mere twelve months ago, the AE3000 was released with street prices close to $3,000. This month the AE4000 comes to market at $1,999. Visual Apex delivers exactly what they promise.
I wanted to buy the new Panasonic AE4000 projector and had heard a lot of good things about Visual Apex from the Home Cinema/Hi-Fi forums which I regularly visit. Visual Apex was my first choice, but I decided to check with PriceGrabber.com first to see where the projector was cheapest. After checking, my choice became even easier. Visual Apex was by far the cheapest place to get it, offering free ground shipping via FedEx and tax-free.
I completed my order at the Visual Apex website, which was a smooth and easy process. There were no hidden extra costs. The price I got from PriceGrabber was the price I paid in the end. I had a couple of questions (via phone and e-mail) regarding the order which the custom support answered to my satisfaction with a friendly and helpful tone.
Shipping was supposed to take seven days and it took exactly seven days as promised. Since a projector is a very sensitive piece of equipment, I was a little worried about it being damaged during shipping, but it arrived in a huge box extremely well packaged. From the look of the packaging it probably didn't move an inch during shipping.
The package also included a Visual Apex branded dust cover which was a surprise bonus.
In my opinion, Visual Apex delivers exactly what they promise. Great products, great price, great shipping/packaging, great customer support. I would recommend them to everyone looking for a Hi-Fi projector (and probably other stuff too).

I am very happy with Visual Apex.
I am very happy with Visual Apex. They had the lowest price and great service. The AE4000 was on backorder for about a week and they were very good about keeping me informed on the status of the order. They didn't charge my credit card until it was ready to ship. My CC company froze my card when they did make the charge because they thought the purchase might be fraudulent (apparently this is very common with large electronics purchases). Getting this worked out with Visual Apex took 2 minutes on the phone and was a breeze. Highly recommended!

Lowest price AND Customer Service. Amazing.
I bought a new Panasonic PT-AE4000 Projector to replace the prior model, and was pleasantly surprised to see the lowest price was not from some mega-online retailer. I got the unit in just a couple days, and it worked perfectly. Second purchase with VA!
I ordered a Panasonic AE4000 on a Thursday morning w/ overnight shipping and it arrived Friday exactly as advertised. Everyone I talked to before purchasing was extremely helpful, and they even followed up afterwards to make sure the process went smoothly. Of course, it did, so I can't be more satisfied. I ordered a Panny PT-AE4000U from Visual Apex about 3 weeks ago. They had the best price and free shipping. My order came quickly and was well packaged. I've gotten a lot of use out of it already and the projector runs great! I haven't had to use their customer service much yet but they seem to be pretty on the ball from what I can tell. Easy to use website.
Website was easy to use, price was excellent and included shipping. The equipment arrived in perfect condition and the merchant followed up with a call to be sure everything had gone well. We bought a 125" Elite screen and a Panasonic AE4000U projector, which provide a superb picture close up--even better than the far more expensive CRT projector/processor we'd installed in a different home 10 years prior.

Really impressed with VA's service.
At first I bought from VA because they were selling Panasonic's AE4000 cheaper than everyone else, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover their reputation for personalized customer service. It's nice to find real customer service.

Outstanding knowledge and customer service.
Visual Apex is outstanding in their knowledge and customer service. Add on top of that the best price and ability to create a custom package for me sealed the deal. I was even more impressed with their followup AFTER my order to make sure everything met my expectations. I'm not talking about some sort of automated email... I mean a REAL phone call from a REAL person. These people have a passion for home theater and it really shows. Great service!
I bought a Panasonic PT-AE4000U for my home theater, the projection is impecable and the different functions are awesome. I am very happy with my new purchase, the PT-AE4000U is very easy to use. I replaced an Optoma HD80 which was fine, but did not have enough trimming adjustments to fit the image perfectly in my screen.
As always, Visual Apex has done a great job, their service is excellent. My order arrived on time.

Fantastic service, price and shipping!
I purchased my 1080p HD projector from Visual Apex 2 months back. A Panasonic - PT-AE4000U. The product is amazing and it is obvious why this projector is so popular. Three reasons why I choose Visual Apex:
1) Their service is fantastic. They are small and the owners still do the work so they will actually phone and email you.
2) Their shipping is quick and affordable.
3) They are the best price.
When I went to purchase the Panasonic - PT-AE4000U availability was very low. Visual Apex had a shipment coming in and let me place the order to hold (they bill only on ship). They also said if I decided to buy elsewhere (because they could not get their shipment in fast enough or for whatever reason) that I could cancel and buy elsewhere.

I recently purchased a Panasonic AE 4000U 1080p projector from Visual Apex. My whole family was thrilled with the quality of the picture. My shopping experience buying online has been another hit out of the park. First and most important,...the price, and then comes shipping, which was very quick. Highly recommend Visual Apex
For the past year as time permitted, I've been building a professional grade home theater. During that time I searched the web (like we all do) pouring over the highest rated equipment for the best price. The last item needed to complete my Theater (and arguably the most important) was the projector. I planned on purchasing the Panasonic PT-3000 and was thrilled to see it was recently upgraded to the PT-4000, which is what I bought. Just as important was the reputation and customer service of the retailer I would be buying from, so I found myself once again searching the web for consumer recommendations and wound-up selecting Visual Apex. I purchased one of their “Home Theater Packages", which included the Panasonic PT-4000 projector, mount, 120" Vapex screen, HDMI cables and a few other accessories. Visual Apex’s customer service assisted me with technical information needed prior to the purchase so I could complete the layout. Once purchased (4 days before the Superbowl), the package was shipped exactly as promised and I was kept informed of the delivery status. I had researched the projector market for several months, and after getting recommendations from a friend who lives and breathes everything audio-visual, he convinced me that I would be happy with the Panasonic PT-AE4000U. After researching various vendors on Google, my friend and I concluded that Visual Apex looked like a good candidate seller, as they are a certified Panasonic Dealer, offered a very good price for the 4000, and there were several happy customer testimonials to support them.
I found the web site to be nicely organized, and the various accessories for my projector were clearly identified and explained, including the offer to receive an extra free year of maintenance. I was a bit nervous making a fairly large purchase without having used this company before, so I called Visual Apex and chatted with a fellow on the sales team to get a few more details about the product. The person I spoke with was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and informative, which put my concerns at ease. I am especially alert to the quality of customer service, so they passed an important test.
I placed the order on Christmas Eve, and didn't expect to hear anything for a week, being right in the middle of the holidays. So I was delighted to have the projector unpacked at home and in perfect condition prior to New Year's Eve.
As far as the projector itself, it has exceeded my expectations. It's easy to use and set up, and the picture is extremely sharp and beautiful even during the daytime, when it's hard to completely darken my viewing room. My friend helped me mount it, and having the previous Panasonic model himself, was clearly impressed with the improvements in the 4000 and will probably buy one himself.
The whole experience with Visual Apex has been a very satisfying one, from navigating the website, having a pleasant and informative chat with their sales team, getting a timely shipment with regular status updates, the product exceeding my expectations, and receiving a courtesy follow-up on how things went. I wholeheartedly recommend this small but exceptionally responsive company that is refreshingly service-oriented.

Purchased a Panasonic PT-AE4000U from Visual Apex and can honestly tell you I haven't dealt with a better web vendor. Product was shipped, along with a screen and mounting package, very timely, and was advertised as promised. This was my first projector and the Panasonic PT-AE4000U puts a stunning picture on the wall! We have had movie nights with our kids and their friends, and parents are asking us about the projector. This is just a short note say how happy I was with my purchase from Visual Apex. I am a Canadian customer so I was nervous about purchasing on line from the States. The process was easy, I found a shipping company close to our border, my package arrived in less than 3 days, it cost me just 5 dollars to pick it up. Because it was electronics there is no Duty so I paid my GST PST tax and was on my way. I am sure I saved over 25% by doing this. I purchased the PT AE4000 Panasonic Projector. My husband is thrilled. When we found scrolling lines on the screen I sent an email to Visual Apex for support. They responded right away and told me the most likely problem would be the grounding wire in the cable box, and sure enough it was. We grounded the cable and the picture is Chrystal clear. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. I was 100% satisfied.

Highly recommend Visual Apex!
Having investigated video projectors for the past two years because it was time to replace my now 17-year-old SharpVision XV-S250ZU (the organic LCD panels were deteriorating badly), I decided to purchase a Panasonic PT-AE4000U primarily due to the excellent reviews it had received here and elsewhere.

Frankly, I was a bit concerned about buying such an expensive item from a company with whom I had never previously dealt but, after talking on the telephone to two obviously very knowledgeable representatives (Cheryl and Brian), my concerns were alleviated and I ordered the projector from VisualApex on December 7, 2009.
It arrived, via FedEx, on December 14 in perfect condition.
It is everything that they (VisualApex and the reviews) said it is - and, having used it now for two days, I am impressed and pleased, both with the projector (that's primary of course) and the service I received from VisualApex.
I had also ordered a spare bulb; VisualApex was offering a free dust cover for the projector in conjunction with a bulb purchase but, when I opened the package (which arrived at the same time as the projector), there was no dust cover included.
I called them, spoke again to Cheryl, and, to make a long story short, she apologized for what has turned out to be a computer glitch and they immediately shipped out a dust cover via FedEx 3-day - and for free (the cover is scheduled to arrive December 17).
That's service!
I highly recommend this company as a very customer-oriented one and I shall deal with them again in the future.

Nice job, Visual Apex!
Visual Apex certainly lived up to its claim to have exceptional customer service. Not only did they give me a great price on a Panasonic Projector but they followed up with me until I received the unit. Then after I installed it they reached out again to make sure I was happy with the quality. Nice Job to everyone at Visual Apex, you will definately be seeing more of my business in the future.

Would buy from VA again
Bought Panasonic AE4000u projector and universal ceiling mount. Very quick shipping. Good communication. Excellent packing and pre and post follow-up. Would do business with them anytime.

Spectacular service - Highly recommended.
A few years ago, Visual Apex was recommended by a friend for a plasma I was considering. Living in Alaska, I was skeptical about shipping and delivery issues. Their prices were too good to pass up, even with shipping, so I took a chance. Glad I did. Product arrived quickly, was well packed, and the service from VA was spectacular. I didn't hesitate to order my new Panny AE4000u projector from them last month. Same great service, and zero issues with the projector. You will have to look hard to find better internet pricing for the products they carry, and you won't find better, more professional service. Highly recommended.

Completely satisfied with Visual Apex.
Followed the link from Projector Central to Visual Apex and pre-ordered the Panny PT-AE4000U online. Ordering process was straightforward and I received an e-mail confirmation stating an ETA of late October. Later notified by VA that my PJ had shipped and was given a FedEx link to easily track its progress. Shipping was quick - delivered October 30th. Visual Apex later called to follow-up and make sure everything was okay. Completely satisfied with Visual Apex.

I ordered my new Panasonic AE4000U a couple of weeks prior to the projectors launch. A few days before the shipment, Visual Apex contacted me to tell me it was going to ship. I called them to arrange a possible local pick-up and I had a great customer experience. They were extremely friendly via phone and email.
I will order from them for all of my future AV needs.

Highly recommend Visual Apex!
I bought the Panasonic AE 4000U package: projector, ceiling mount, cables, and screen, everything arrived perfectly and was easy to install. The picture is incredible in Blue Ray. The one question I had was answered the next day. I would definitely buy from them again or recommend to a friend

Visual Apex is the best online store in my experience, I am a Canadian who want to order Panasonic AE4000 Projector, this is my frist time to order the expensive stuff online. the services are perfect, phone call or email to the customer serveice always get quick response,like you shopping in the local store(but price much cheapper). nice package, great product, profession service and the lowest price. I will do business with them again! nice work!
