PT-AE7000U by Panasonic is an excellent projector. Although there are some minor dark spots on the left of the picture viewable under very particular circumstances the picture quality is excellent. You can watch the projector with lights on. It does of course reduce the clarity of the picture but that is true for any projector and all standard televisions I've seen. Although the remote overall is not confusing, I rate it as such as the input button should be at the top and the menus require extra steps for navigation. The noise levels from the cooling fans are hardly noticeable and the projector sits almost directly overhead. The pre-dust filter is genius as this will reduce the cost of filter replacement. It is easy to maintain. There is no need to un mount the projector to replace the bulb or clean the filter when mounted to the ceiling. The joystick lens adjustment allows installation versatility without picture distortion. The blacks are admirable and the colors are outstanding. 3D performance is in your face. My eyes sometimes go crossed as objects are so close to my nose. This projector is certainly a good value and the Panasonic name is one that inspires confidence.

I had the 4000. It was a great projector but the 7000 is even better. The lens off center is my only complaint. But not a problem!

The projector picture quality and definition are outstanding on a 6 foot wide screen to 8/9 ft, at 12 ft the 3D starts loosing depth, while on the other hand the contrast gains in effect.
It is whisper quiet, works with all my HDMI devices. Only issue encountered is with the PC HDMI interface: the picutre was blurry and the black screen had bleeding on all four corners. I panicked then realized it was not doing that on the standard black screen. Had to purchase a much better quality cable $$$$ but it was worth it.

I use it only for watch movies on the weekends with my whole family and the kids love it every time I turn it on to watch a movie they get very excited ,the best thing about this projector and the reason why I bought it ,was the picture quality it suppose to have , until this day the picture quality still the same as the first day , I project on the wall and it give me a beautiful picture like HD , can you imagene if I use it on a screen and in HD it will be even better so if the question is ?IS IT WORTH THE MONEY? the answer is YES ,YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY .
The only thing I don't like about projectors is that they are big and bulky , they should be smaller but with the same picture quality or even better.

I love the Projector ! But there is one small crib - it needs an additional component for 3D when setup more than 6 feet away from the screen - there was no indication of this anywhere when I was buying it so I thought it was slightly misleading that it was ready to go for 3D.

Great customer support. This is my second projector from Visual Apex (VA). First was the PTAE1000U and now the PTAE7000. The first time I was nervous about using the web for such an expensive and "fragile" purchase but I have no concerns anymore. These guys have very "genuine" people who work in sales and in Customer Service. They talk to you like a human, dont just recite policy, and have advocated for me like a family member would (my first projector had some warranty issues a year after I had it and these guys helped me work with the company (Panasonic). Two great experiences! Panasonic PTAEU7000 projector. This was the second projector I purchased from Visual Apex (VA). In short they are low-priced, very fast, and amazingly "human" to deal with. I have no affiliation with VA other than having purchased two projectors from them over the last 4 years. I went there the first time for the price via the web. I was a bit hesitant to use the web for such a "fragile" and expensive purchase. Those fears are long gone. I came back for both the price and the outstanding customer service. I was not disappointed. A few hours after I submitted my order I realized Panasonic started a promotion that had changed the price. The folks at VA took my call and listened to my issue (and request for the lower price). They said they had to talk to Panasonic and would get back to me by 2pm tomorrow: which worried me. Too many customer service people these days recite from policy manuals. Based on experience with other companies I was concerned such a call would not happen or it would happen but they already knew the outcome would be "no" and were just stalling. I regret my cynicism. By the next day (before 2pm) I had an email from VA with a credit message and that was followed up with a phone call. The calls were more like talking to family members than "distant" customer service people. They were honest about what things would happen,how things work "behind the scenes", what the potential outcomes would be and why some different scenario's might play out. It was genuine and logical. In the end I was happy with the decision but as happy with their effort and their manner of being my advocate. I just don't feel I get that type of representation from (m)any companies. None of this slowed the delivery. I received a Panasonic projector, a Visual apex brand 106" screen, projector mount, and some DVD's. It was all great stuff and arrived fast (on time for my family Christmas party!). I had everything together and mounted the same day. The 3D projector is awesome and it looks perfect on the VA screen. We watched Polar Express and an Imax Dinosaur movie so far. The thick black frame of the screen is beautiful and makes one really feel like he is at THE theater, not just watching a big movie. These guys are great.
