We like them for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is the fact that they're the only option for enjoying some 110-inch gaming for less than $70,000. They're also compact, and a lot easier to move than even small panel HDTVs. There are some downsides to the technology however, mostly having to do with the room in which a projector is installed. A lot of wall space for the image is an obvious necessity, as is enough throw distance between wall and projector for the projected image to expand to the desired size. [Read more]

Two improvements include better detail performance with dark scenes and better motion response for video game play. Flesh tones, overall color saturation, and contrast levels provide a very natural looking image, with none of the usual LCD artifacts, such as the screen door effect. Could not be more pleased.
Visual Apex had stellar service. I chose to purchase from them despite being able to receive a slightly cheaper price through an employee purchase program. I bought both the Panasanic AX200U LCD projector and a Draper CineGray 73" pull down screen. Both arrived in beautiful condition. Visual Apex maintained contact with me throughout the production timeframe and delivery of my Draper screen. I couldn't be more pleased with their follow through and professionalism.
I would also like to comment on the extremely useful side-by-side comparison videos they had on their website. It was what allowed me to make my final decision, which in this day and age of online shopping - invaluable.
I will find excuses to purchase from them in the future.

Best prices and service!
I ordered the Panasonic AX200U projector. What a machine!!! Visual Apex had the best price anywhere online or in the big box stores and that includes shipping. They shipped fast and it was packaged well for shipping. I wish I would have found them sooner, I would have saved on my Oppo DVD upconverter.

I bought the Panasonic at-200u projector from this company. Great price but even better customer service. All my questions were answered patiently and the order delivered as promised across country during terrible weather. I was missing a HDMI cable so I called at 6:30 PST and no problem, we're very sorry and it was on my porch in 30 hours. I was stunned. I certainly didn't request overnite shipping. I have since gotten a followup phone call from a manager to make sure everything was okay. I have never had a better online shopping experience and the customer service is the best I have had anywhere. Thank you Visual Apex. BTW the projector is fabulous.

Highly recommend Visual Apex
I purchased a Panasonic PT-AX200U projector. It was delivered to my door in THREE days for FREE... just in time for Christmas! I was skeptical at first about buying electronics online, but no worries here with Visual Apex. Their website is user-friendly, offering many comparable products with detailed descriptions, and last but not least, their prices are unbeatable! I looked at other websites, including Amazon.com, and they were the cheapest. My projector arrived on-time, factory-sealed, and in perfect condition. First class experience all the way... couldn't be more pleased. And oh, follow-up email from customer service was icing on the cake. Visual Apex did not disappoint... highly recommended!

Very happy.
Just to start out, I am new to the projector world. I always research my audio/video purchases to try and get the best bang for the $. Through this process, I narrowed down myself to buying a Panasonic PT-AX200U Projector. The only problem is that you can't just go to a local store and pick one of these up. So again I turned to the various A/V forums out there looking for the best place to order the AX200U.
In the end, I heard good things about a few different sites. Visual Apex seemed to have the best reputation for customer service at very competitive prices.
Since this was such a large purchase, I was a little worried about ordering from a site I was unfamiliar with, but I also trusted the forums that I was looking in.
In the end, I decided to order one of Visual Apex's Home Theater Packages.
It included an AX-200U, Ceiling mount, 92"-135" Vapex Fixed Frame Screen, 25ft. HDMI 1.3 cable, Dust cover and A/v Calibration Disc. All for the price of a 50" Plasma or LCD TV.
I put my order in late in the day and was told that I would receive an invoice from Paypal to complete the order. Since I did not read the email completely, I did not realize that this invoice would not come until the next day if I ordered too late in the day. So I called customer service the next morning and was pleasantly surprised to almost immediately get a live and friendly operator who was able to answer my questions almost immediately.
I paid the invoice and they shipped later that day and provided me with the necessary tracking numbers. The package arrived FedEx on the day FedEx said it would. Everything was packages very well and arrived without any damage or problems.
I chose a 106" Vapex Fixed Frame Screen. The frame arrived in 6 pieces along with the hardware and screen rolled in PVC pipe. It had pretty good instructions included with it, but there was also a step by step video on the Visual Apex Website for further clarification. All in all, I was able to get the screen assembled and hung in about 30min. (Most of the time was spent making sure I hung the thing level!)
It is a great screen. It has 3.5" black velvet borders that reflect almost no light. I have to really look to see where the picture spills over a little.
Overall, I am more than happy with my choice to go with Visual Apex. I would rate them a 5+++ in any category you could come up with. Pricing is great, products are great and Customer Service is some of the best I have seen (Especially the fact that they are online)!
I would highly recommend Visual Apex to anyone looking to purchase home theater equipment or accessories. Or if you just have some questions about equipment.

I bought a Panasonic PTAX200U digital projector from Visual Apex in early October 2009. I was impressed by the emphasis on customer service expressed on their website, and positive customer reviews. The price was great, too. The projector arrived promptly and in perfect condition. (This machine throws a beautiful picture on the screen.) I got a follow-up email from Visual Apex a while later to ask if I got he projector OK - a nice touch. I'd shop there again.

Very pleased.
I bought my new Panasonic PT-AX200U from Visual Apex. They offered a great price and I had my new projector in 3 days. They also didn't call to try and sell me lots of extras before they processed my order, like many other online sellers do in order to keep low advertised pricing. The AX200U is much brighter than my old AE900U. Picture quality and color are still very good. The new projector had the same placement flexibility as the old one making it east to install.

Great projector, great price!
Just replaced my Panasonic PT-AE900U with a PT-AX200U since the old projector needed some work after 3 years and about 12,000 hours. All I can say is I wish I would have done it a year sooner. It slipped right in with the old Chief brand bracket I had and I fired it right up. The AX200U seems 30% brighter and my room does have a lot of indirect light since it is a family room in a typical home. It also is very quiet, a slightly bigger projector with more air throughput so you have less of the loud tunnel/blower effect. Nice small remote, better button choices and really easy to just turn on and use. Also, the bulb has higher wattage and lasts longer, total bonus. You have got to hand it to Panasonic, they put a few $5000+ projectors to shame. Visual Apex had the projector I wanted at the best price i could find and a good reputation so I just ordered it for around $995 and I got a few free extras and I am absolutely satisfied and amazed every day at the quality of the picture. I work at a college in TV production so I know a few things about the average projector and this is not it, it is the best thing going at this level. Have fun!-Steve

Back to buy from VA again!
Love my Panasonic PT-AX200U and 11' Da-Lite Screen. I've had home theater for 8 years, but my technology was out dated and I knew nothing about front projection. Brian took all the time I needed and guided me through my many questions without making me feel like an idiot. I believe I got the best product (for me) best price and best service. I highly recommend Visual Apex.
If you are like me, in the market for a great projector and are torn between the 1080p and 720p choice, Go for the 720p. If money is no object for you on the other hand, then it really does not matter. I shopped aroun and after reading, many, many reviews decided to go with the Panasonic PT-AX 200U. I decided to buy this projector from Visual Apex as their customer service was excellent and picking up my equipment was a breeze. I'm from BC, Canada and believe me it was definately worth the drive to Seattle for the price of this projector at Visual Apex and the excellent customer service that I received from this company. I higly recommend them.

Panasonic PT-AX200U HD 720p Projector: Brian was more knowledgeable and patient than the many stores or sites I had contacted. I am on a budget and my A/V knowledge was dated. But he answered all my questions, so I could make an informed decision of best bang for the buck for my specific situation. I then bought a Yamaha HTR-6130BL Receiver and DaLite 11' screen from them, which is perfect for my 15x30' theater that now ROCKS!!! Very pleased.
I recently purchased a Panasonic PT-AX200U from Visual Apex.
My projector arrived in perfect condition.
The shipping had a little hiccup because of the weather in the northwest. My only concern was that I had no communication for 2 days while they were braving the storm. I understood after hearing that they were closed, but at the time I was worried since I had never ordered from them. In the end, I was very pleased with the way everything was handled. My overnight shipping charges were refunded and the item was overnighted the first day possible.
The website was put together well and definitely had the best price.
Overall, I was very happy with Visual Apex.

Best online experience.
I have never had a better experience with an online purchase. The site was intuitive and contained more than enough information, to allow me to make an informed purchase. I was looking for a projector to put in my theater room. This would be mostly in use by both my children and also help my wife an me keep an eye on both of them. Needless to say, after a little bit of research I chose the Panasonic PT-AX200U Projector. I may eventually graduate to the 1080p version, but quite frankly do not see the need at the present time. Because of the projection calculator, I knew exactly where to mount the projector on the ceiling so as to take advantage of my 11 foot wall. Once the projector arrived, in less than 2 days, it took me a grand total of 15 minutes to set up. The picture is excellent. Movies are now better that than going to the theater and football games are terrific. I could not be happier with Visual Apex.

I would GLADLY make another purchase from them, especially if I need replacement bulbs for my projector. Satifying purchase.
After extensive research on the internet and in my local community, I was still unsure about purchasing a projector. I knew I wanted a BIG picture, but I was confused about what would work in the space I had. After visiting a local home theater installation specialist in my area,
I still had more questions. They had a very nice setup, 120" screen, but their projector was
outdated and I wanted to see what high def could do at that size.
I knew I wanted to do the installation myself because the home theater specialist quoted me a
price of $5,000.00 for an entry level system. (that wasn't even high def!) I have pretty good
knowledge of how video works, making connections with a receiver for sound, but diving into
a projector and screen too was a little bit scary.
Finding a good projector and screen I could afford was my first task. After searching online, I read several reviews about getting the best performance for the best price. On several occasions, the reviewer referred to Visual Apex as the leader in offering new technology, the best price and customer service.
After searching on their site, I found a projector and screen I thought was right for me. I called the number, just to test the waters to see if their customer service was what the review had stated it was. I told the service rep I was interested in buying a projector, but not that day. I just wanted more information before I made a purchase.
The Visual Apex rep was very understanding and didn't try to push me into a purchase. He asked what I had picked out, then offered a suggestion of another projector and screen that he thought I would be more pleased with. The phone converstation lasted probably more than 20 minutes. He had answers for everything; including screen size, throw distance, projector performance. I told him I'd call him back after I did more research. He gave me his name and extention and told me to call him with more questions if I had them.
My number one reason for delaying the purchase was to find another site offering the same projector for a better price. I flat out couldn't find one. A week later I called back and ordered the screen and projector over the phone from the same Visual Apex rep. He had saved my information so the order was a breeze. The materials arrived at my doorstep within five days. Setup was very simple for both the screen and projector. I was even contacted later by Visual Apex to make sure I was satisfied with my order.
I am always leery about getting anything over the internet. With Visual Apex, they offer exactly whats on the site, and do follow up with first rate customer service. It was almost like talking to a friend about something you're both interested in. I would highly recommend their services to anyone even interested in purchasing a projector system.
By the way, my purchase was a Panasonic PT-AX200U with a 92" Elite EZframe screen. I have it hooked up to Direct TV, and a PS3 for gaming and Bluray movies. I work in the television industry so I'm always grading picture quality, knowing what I should be seeing. So far this projector has exceeded everything I thought it could do. Watching high def on a screen that big is truly amazing. The picture is so bright that many people think it's a monitor when they first see it. (A long way from those projectors of the old days.)
Bottom line, Visual Apex gave me what I believe is the best deal on the projector I wanted out there, no questions asked. Their help over the phone was phenomenal, and the people are truly interested in helping you making a satifying purchase.

Highly recommend VA!
My wife and I have four children, and one of our goals has always been to try to find a way to attract their friends to our home so as to make it easier to keep an eye on them and their activities. By doing this, we not only get to interact with them, but also, we at least have some level of monitoring. When kids are out roaming the streets or malls with nothing to do, well, it’s just not a very good mix. Someone’s inevitably going to get into trouble. We have a full basement, so we first tried a pool table room. We purchased a very nice pool table, and decorated the room so as to be attractive to teenagers. Well, that lasted about two weeks, and then, the kids never really used it after that. I resisted the investment in a Home Theatre, because I thought if they didn’t use the pool table, why would a Movie Theatre be any different? My brother-in-law had an old used projector that he didn’t want after he purchased a new one, and he offered to give it to me free. He even came to my home and installed it. The whole time I was thinking, this is a dumb idea. Well, I am very happy to say, I WAS WRONG! The Home Theatre Projector totally revolutionized the way in which our family watched movies and played video games, and the next thing you know, all of the kids were coming to our home to use our basement and to hang with our kids. It turned out to be not only a great investment for our children, but also for our family. We used to never use our basement, but now, it gets more use than the rest of our home. The original projector was old and the picture quality was horrible. I couldn’t wait till it gave out so I could purchase a new one. During the few months that we had it, I frequently researched new models through Projector Central. The website not only helped me with choosing a new projector, but also with calculating the exact dimensions of my new Home Theatre setup, screen size, throw distance, etc. After much research, I finally settled on the Panasonic PT AX-200U. I had my choice of several companies to purchase the projector from, but I chose Visual Apex, for several reasons, including their matchless expertise, competitive prices, stellar customer satisfaction, speed of delivery, and most of all their high ratings for service. I have had a wonderful experience with Visual Apex, and I would highly recommend them as the ONLY place to look for all of your Home Theatre needs. Another suggestion, if you scrimp on anything in your Home Theatre Room set-up, don’t scrimp on the projector, and don’t buy used! You can buy new for only a few dollars more, and with the security of a warranty and good service from a company like Visual Apex. With a 100-inch high definition grey screen, and the Panasonic PT AX-200U, our picture quality is AWESOME. It is BETTER than being at “the movies!” I would also highly recommend using Projector Central as your source for planning and researching your Home Theatre specs. In over thirty years of marriage, this Home Theatre has been one of our very best family investments.

In a word, outstanding! I purchased a projector (PT-AX200U), screen, mount, and HDMI cable from Visual Apex 5 days ago and received it all today. I wanted to relay my experience here because I was nervous spending that much money over the phone and reading other peoples entries about this company prompted me to go for it. So I figured I would add my voice to the rest.
First off I called because I’m new to the home theater game and wanted some advice. When I called the sales person seemed very knowledgeable about every product and answered all my questions with patience and clarity. I was surprised that he didn’t get all huffy when I told him I was going to think about it and not buy right now. So after a bit more research I called back and talked with a different person and asked more questions. The great thing I thought was never once did they try to pressure me to buy or try to up-sale me to a more expansive product. It was the little things that impressed me the most, such as the screen I wanted was on sale but after telling the sales guy my environment he suggested that I get the same screen but different color. That screen was not on sale so he offered me the screen he suggested for the sale price. That made me feel that it was more important to him that I get the best setup then haggle over a couple of bucks.
I received the equipment today (exactly when they said I would) via FedEx ground. Everything was packaged well and arrived undamaged.
I will absolutely purchase from Visual Apex again.

I love VA!
I bought a Panasonic PT-Ax200U from Visual Apex. I had a lot of questions prior to the sale which were patiently and completely answered. The order was delivered on it's promised date, I was however missing a cable I had purchased. No problem. I called at 6:30 PST and the cable was on my porch 30 hours later from the opposite coast. I bought the panasonic ax200 projector 0n 5-6-09 recieved 4 days later w/free shipping.Set it up in 2 hrs.mounting screen projector and tuning picture.Very Impressed with results,can watch all my favorite programs just as if I was sitting in a theater.pic and sound is going through a yamaha htr6140.havent watched dvd's or gamed yet if it is better than the quality i'm getting now "oh boy"!Visual Apex is top dog for home theater systems in my opinion.Even after purchase they follow up on your expience.awesome site to see exactly what you are getting. Visual Apex exceeded my expectations. I am on a budget and my A/V knowledge was dated. Brian answered all my questions without making me feel like an idiot. Highly recommend VA.
Visual Apex gave me the best price, best customer service, and best turnaround time on my projector (Panasonic PT-AX200U)and a few other accessories. It was nice to see that while I was shopping online from them, the cost of accessories dropped even further as I had 4 or more accessories (screen is an accessory). I called to check on my order the day after placing the order, and was greeted by a friendly live person who answered my questions. I live in Northern CA and the product was delivered in an exact 2 days. It was a great buying experience! As of the time I am writing this review, I am still waiting on the screen, but that is shipped out directly by the manufacturer since Visual Apex did't carry my screen in their warehouse. Additionally, they had the best price for Monster cables, even better than the cheapest retail stores. I'd buy for them again and highly recommend them. They also made my research for the right projector much easier with their user friendly website.

Very satisfied!
I purchased a Panasonic PT-AX200U projector from Visual Apex online. The item was delivered in a very timely manner. I was surprised by the level of professionalism and courtesy I found at Visual Apex. The order arrived on time and both components arrived together. I had no problems at all setting up my home theater. I received an e-mail a few days later inquiring on my experience and a follow up phone call about a week after that. A company is only as good as its customer service and in that sense I would recommend Visual Apex to anyone.
