VApex VAPEX9120SE Q & A:
Q: How worried do I have to be about this screen wrinkling? I am also wondering if there is a noticeable difference between the cinema white screens that you sell for the fixed frame and tensioned screens and this one. Asked on 2/26/2013 by Max from Milwaukee, WI Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: There is a weighted cross bar at the bottom of this screen that will help keep the screen flat and from wrinkling. The Tensioned electric screens tab tensioning system will also help keeping the screen nice a taut helping prevent from wrinkles and curling and giving you a flat viewing surface. The screen material on our electric, tensioned, and fixed screens are very similar in apperance but may vary in thickness and flexability depending on the style of screen. Thanks! Q: I would love for the casing to match the off-white trim in my house. Can it be painted or can it be ordered in white? Asked on 12/21/2012 by Anonymous Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Thank you for your question regarding the VAPEX Electric Screen. Unfortunately we do not make that screen casing in white. Black is the only color. Any alterations to the case or screen can invalidate your warranty. If you painted the case and the paint got into the mechanism then you would be out of luck as far as the warranty is concerned. Warranty covers manufacturer defects only. Thank you so much! Charlotte Answered on 12/28/2012 by Anonymous
Q: How does this screen perform with ambient light? I have some light control over the room, but during the day there is a fair amount of ambient light. It causes the picture to look washed out. If this screen isn't suitable for my application, can you recommend another screen by VAPEX? Thank you. Asked on 11/25/2012 by Abes from Miami Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: The Vapex Standard Electric screen is a Matted White Material, with a 1.1 screen gain. In most applications, this works very well. The term “Ambient Light” is difficult to determine, since it varies, if there is light in the room, perhaps looking at Projector with a stronger Lumens output, might be the answer. Q: Hi, thanks for quick reply. But do you mean motor will run on 240V as well as 110V - we are on 240V mains here in Australia. If correct, then yes only an adapter for plug is needed, but if it is non 240v compatible I could cause a few sparks! If you could please clarify! Thanks. Asked on 9/12/2012 by Matt from Melbourne, Australia Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Our Information states that the screen can be plugged into 220V 50Hz. I hope that helps determine your needs. Thank you again for the inquiry. Answered on 9/13/2012 by VisualApex
Q: Will the motorised product work in Australia, ie is motor 110-240v international? Great screen, pricing and inclusions (wireless 12v trigger is brilliant!) Asked on 9/7/2012 by Matt from Melbourne, AU Know the answer? Answer this question 1 answer A: Yes, the motor will work with a 110v system. You may need an adapter to power the screen, but it should work just fine with your setup in Australia. Answered on 9/10/2012 by VisualApex
