Yamaha YSP-3000SL Digital Sound Projector
The new YSP-3000 offers great new features such as 1080p-compatiable HDMI, iPod compatibility and a wide variety of beam settings including My Surround for true multi-channel surround sound enjoyment from a single component.
Wide Variety of Beam Settings
The My Surround mode provides surround sound without reflecting the beams off the walls. It is handy for rooms where for some reason the walls can not be used well and delivers a good surround effect when listeners are close to the unit. My Surround uses a combination of DiMagic and Yamaha technology. The My Beam setting focuses the sound at a specific listening position, so even in noisy surroundings you can hear dialogue and other sounds clearly. There are also five other selectable beam settings: 5 Beam, 3 Beam, 3 Beam + Stereo, and 2ch Stereo and 5ch Stereo that outputs stereo sources from all of the 5-channel beams, providing a more expansive sound field.
IntelliBeam™ Automated Calibration System
This Yamaha exclusive feature ensures optimum multi-channel sound reproduction with accurate image location. By monitoring and analyzing the sound with the microphone included with the YSP-3000, IntelliBeam automatically sets the best beam angles, while optimizing the level and frequency response of each beam. It also offers Direct Start function via remote unit. This makes initial setup both extremely simple while acoustically perfect.
CINEMA DSP Digital
Conventional multichannel audio reproduction systems base their sound on Dolby® Digital and DTS® decoding, using matrix and steering technologies to create surround sound effects. Yamaha CINEMA DSP is much more advanced, actually creating richly realized independent sound fields that envelop you in an unmatched surround sound experience. With dialogue, music and effects from ideally located in these separate sound fields, you will hear sound with accurate placement, smooth movement, exceptional clarity and richness, and startlingly realistic presence. It will seem as if the walls of your room have disappeared and you are in the middle of your own immense theater! The decoding circuitry performs Dolby® Pro Logic IIx, Dolby® Digital, Dolby® Digital EX, DTS® Digital Surround, DTS®-ES (DTS®-ES Matrix 6.1 and DTS®-ES Discrete 6.1), DTS® Neo:6 and DTS® 96/24 decoding with extreme accuracy, as well as all digital sound field processing.
Compressed Music Enhancer
Yamaha employs sophisticated digital signal processing with exclusive algorithms to enable playback that improves the performance of compressed music formats, including MP3 and WMA. With the Compressed Music Enhancer, highs and especially lows are richer and smoother, bringing music back to life to be as close to the original as possible.
HDMI
High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) is the first and only digital interface to combine uncompressed high-definition video, multi-channel audio and intelligent format and command data in a single digital interface. HDMI switching, providing the most advanced method of delivering high quality video signals to a home theater system to enable the reproduction of DVD and satellite TV sources with HD quality. XM HD Surround Sound
XM and Neural Audio Corporation announce XM HD Surround, which provides content with six discrete channels of digital full fidelity audio powered by Neural Audio technology. Marking the first time that a radio company has broadcast in 5.1 Surround Sound twenty-four hours a day. Beginning in April 2006, XM will broadcast the Fine Tuning® (XM Channel 76) and the classical pops music channel XM Pops (XM Channel 113) in XM HD Surround. XM will also broadcast a variety of special shows and live music performances at the XM studios in XM HD Surround.
Made for iPod
The YSP-3000 is equipped to use the optional YDS-10 Universal Dock that lets you connect your iPod to this product. With the optional dock you can listen to your music and operate the iPod via the YSP-3000’s remote control while at the same time recharging the battery on your iPod. The YSP-3000 will allow you to use the On-Screen Display feature on your video monitor to navigate your music.
