42" Professional Series High Definition Plasma Display Panasonic is pleased to announce the introduction of our new 12-Series 720p HD plasma displays – the 42-inch TH-42PH12U. This model maintains the Panasonic plasma essentials shared by our 11-Series displays – superior image quality, flexible plug-in architecture, and world-class support – while adding some additional enhancements. For even deeper, richer blacks, this plasma achieves a contrast ratio of an incredible 30,000:1. Also new to this 720p model is improved video processing, now on par with our 1080p panels, providing crisp, clear motion images with the equivalent of 5,120 shades of gradation.

When it comes to durability, our panels can be counted on and the TH-42PH12U is no exception. It has an incredibly long expected service life of 100,000 hours, and is backed by a comprehensive 2-year on-site parts and labor limited warranty. As always, our Plasma Concierge service provides a toll-free hotline and 24-hour priority scheduling of on-site service if the display is in need of service or repair.

The TH-42PH12U will come equipped with our TY-42TM6A Component Plug-in Board and TY-FB10HMD Dual HDMI Plug-in Board.
