What are people saying about the Panasonic TH-50PH9UK?
Wait a second, didn’t I just review this panel? Well, yes and no. This is the new version (notice the “9”in the model number) of the TH-50PHD8UK I recently reviewed. My first question was, “So, what’s different?”Well, the first thing I noticed from the specs was that the newer display has a stated 10000:1 contrast ratio rather than a 3000:1. The newer model is also missing the REAL Mach system. I spoke to Matt Tucker over at Visual Apex and he informed me that this new unit uses much thinner glass (from 2.8mm to 1.8mm) which reduces the weight from 94.8 lbs to 81.6 lbs (a 15% reduction). The unit uses 16-bit digital signal processing and improved “sub-field driving technology”to reproduce 3,072 steps of gradation. Other than that, the units aren’t really all that different. The remote is the same, the menus are the same, the inputs are the same... if you have a question about this unit that doesn’t seem covered by this review, check out the review of the TH-50PHD8UK. I would highly recommend Visual Apex. I recently bought a 50" Panasonic plasma and and very pleased with the purchase. I was a bit hesistant to make a large purchase over the internet, but everything went very smoothly, the TV got to me on time, and the customer service was excellent.

Finally after-the-sale tech support!
I purchased a 50" Panasonic plasma HDTV from Visual Apex. This was an extremely satisfactory experience from the very beginning. After scouring the internet, I found Visual Apex to have lower prices than any other alternatives, they were certified for Panasonic's $100 rebate and (free) 5-year extended warranty (available at the time of my purchase), and offered warehouse pick-up to avoid the shipping costs (significant for plasma TVs). Finally, outstanding after-the-sale technical support!

I was extremely pleased with the price and quality of service provided by VisualApex. I received the 50" Panasonic plasma set in perfect condition and it was very nicely boxed to make a trip across the country. I have also been impressed by their followup after I received the set.

I would definitely recommend VA.
I recently purchased a 50" Panasonic commercial plasma TV from Visual Apex and was completely satisfied with the experience. I was a bit hesitant about getting such a large purchase via the internet, but the price was so low that I decided to go for it. I couldn't be happier. Everything went very smooth. They have followed up with an email and phone call which is nice, as internet purchases can leave you feeling underwhelmed in the customer service department. I would definitely recommend them.

A+++ experience.
Great vendor. Found them after reading other's positive reviews on the AVS forum. Purchased 50 inch plasma - sales woman was very knowledgable about product and competing products. They had the best price for an authorized re-seller (important if you want a warranty from the manufacturer). Shipping from west coast was simple, and arrived in 5 days in perfect shape. Tech support was quick to respond and top notch. Clearly they stand behind the products they sell. Would highly recommend using this vendor. A+++ experience.

I highly recommend Visual Apex. I purchased a Panasonic 50inch pro plasma last month, and they had the best price. I was delivered within one week, and it was in perfect shape. I was kinda hesitant about using a company out of state, and one I couldn't visit and kick the tires of there wares, so to speak. They are reputable, and keep their word. There was a price drop between the time I ordered, and delivery, and they gave me the difference without even asking.
