Case Study:

This is is a concentrated version of the equipment in our entertainment room. The room was preplanned and built during a remodel about 5 years ago. All wiring was done looking to the future with Cat5e cabling, heavy multiple wires for speakers, etc., already put in place for the "final product". We are perfectionists and this has exceeded our fondest expectations.

The projector is an Epson 1080UB, DishNetwork satellite receiver, DVD player is a Samsung 2500PDB BluRay w/ NetFlix streaming via DSL/LAN. Yamaha audio 5.1/7.1 surround surround sound, Sony subwoofer. All cabling hidden in walls. Used DIYTheatre® polymer coating screen system, took only an overnight to put it up - awesome performance. No windows in the room. The subwoofer is hidden under the fireplace, the center speaker is a in-ceiling mount type used in the wall under the screen for almost flush mounting. I cannot say enough good things about the electronic units, they were all "plug and play" right out of the box with no glitches. Did all the work ourselves.

PS We did something unusual for the ceiling for sound proofing (the room is in the basement under our living room) with "Sound-Clips®" that actually suspend the ceiling and prevents transfer of sound (especially low bass sounds) through the floors/walls. It is a whole story by itself but there might be some readers interested. The grand kids test it for us ! (And it works !)
