Case Study:
| Attached are my pictures of my new home theater. The projection screen is a custom 'trial and error' blend of paint (I have the exact formulae written down) which gives me very deep blacks (no black bars when watching 4:3 movies). Due to time limitations, I could not re-insulate the room, so I hung thick-black fabric around the room, with an air pocket of 2". There is also a 7.1 surround system in this room. All electronics are located in another room (including an xbox 360, which is feeding the 1080p video - which should be available to the public in a few weeks). The coiled wires seen on the floor are actually USB ports that are routed to the XBOX in the other room. There's an in-room A/C unit dedicated to this room in case of extended gaming sessions. The projector is a Sanyo PLV-Z3000. |
